To the left is a scanned copy of the original programme of Church Fentons' air show in 1956, commemorating Battle of Britain week. Below we can see what planes were due to fly on the day and what was reported in the news the following day...

On The day, Air Chief Marshall Sir Donald Hardman presented the standard to Number 19 Sqn. The CO of No. 19 Squadron, Squadron Leader D. J. Fowler asked Sir David to accept a momentum of the occasion in the form of a squadron badge. The badge, he said, embodied a dolphin, which was a link with the dolphin air craft that Sir Donald flew 38 years before.

The Squadron standard was consecrated by Canon A. S. Giles and was presented by the A.V.M.
